Sorry to hear that but who cares. Those bands haven't been good for a
long time.

You missed the Solvent show. It was really good (ask the 20 people who
went). And now you're sorry because you are missing your dose of real
synthpop (not the trance techno stuff that goes thud).
You want to hear electro, spiced up with
the sexy funk, 80s style, a la Rockwell, Laura Branigan, the soundtracks
from Beat Street, Breakin', and, uh, Flashdance. You want to see a
bespectacled Jew and a ruffneck Arab with gold teeth who looks like
Ali G (I shit you not) move a fucking crowd.

So don't miss new Brooklyn sensations CHROMEO tomorrow at Garfield
Artworks.
They'll be going on first, at about 8:20.
Followed by psychedelic Floydian rockers LOW FLYING OWLS (might want
to stick around for that if you like shoegaze & Flaming Lips stuff).
And then HEAD OF FEMUR (orchestral pop from members of Bright Eyes,
mayday and Lullaby for the Working Class).

Which means you're out of there early - you can check out Electro Retro
with DJ Badtz by a cool 11 pm at the latest. Maybe someday they'll
have someone DJ there someday who actually owns turntables and more
than a handful of records ;)
