This art was, I believe, inspired by Haibane-Renmei (a post-Lain project
of yoshitoshi aBe), which featured seemingly heterosexual male Haibane
(winged beings).  I'm straight myself, but if your name is Alan Cumming
then I'll close my eyes and pretend.
