You can't mope in the corner of the danceclub all the time - there must be
something more fun, and you only have a couple weeks of summer left to do it!
This week, two upbeat, dancey, synthpop tours come through the Burgh' to
Garfield Artworks, 4931 Penn Avenue, your center for live independent music.
All ages shows, too!

First, there's the regional favorites, Ohio's own electro boys
GIL MANTERA'S PARTY DREAM. With their disco/electro beats,
vocoder vocals, chunky guitars, and tight outfits sometimes stripped down to
their skivvies, they get the party rockin'.
This Wed Aug 16 with Jackson (of Grand Buffet), Hotness (synthpop by Clinton of
We're Wolves), Stadium Traxxx (over the top rap by T Glitter of Dirty Faces)
and Bloomington's Rapscallionz (kinda the Grand Buffet of Indiana). only $7.

Then a couple days we've got OPPENHEIMER all the way from Belfast, Ireland. This
duo plays upbeat synthpop that'll please fans of Ladytron, Lali Puna, Postal
Service & Stereolab. Sound good? They're on tour with Bad Flirt (from
Montreal), plus openers Discuss (local downtempo duo, think Boards of Canada),
Retar-D2 (the debut of the robotic electro project of Pegritz from
Nyarlathotep), and Narse (local synthpop stalwart, think
Depeche Mode). It's Fri Aug 18. Only $7.

Hope to see yinz dere an' at!
