these will fail, there are not enough people interested to sustain a night like
this. i tried it in 1997 at the Lava Lounge, in 2001 at the Rex. And Electro
Retro tried it too. they failed after a while, the only reason it wasn't
dropped sooner was because on a Friday at the Upstage you'll get a few more
people than most other places simply because of where it is.

the smaller lounges tend to focus on other stuff, not IDM/atmospheric.
the Lava has a dancey new-wavey night. the Z Lounge has house and breaks.
Kelly's has hiphop and funk etc. and they're all over 21, not 18+ like Ceremony.

i think people who want some IDM are better off focusing on irregularly
occurring LIVE events than on a weekly/regular club/DJ night. which means WHEN
SHOWS HAPPEN, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THEM.
