Not to Manny. Lets give JET a quick refresher on "How Manny Views The World".

1) Its all about the music. If you need anything else other than the
music you are a phillistine at best. If you cared enough about the
music then all the little things like seating, stages, sound equipment
that shorts out and overheats, bathrooms, beverages, and other
'inconsequential' things wouldn't matter. A real music lover doesn't
go to a show to hang out with friends or even to have a good time.
They go to appreciate the music. ANYTHING else only shows what a lame
ass bitch you are.
2) If you don't go to live shows you suck. It doesn't matter if you
don't actually like the band, the genre, or much of anything else.
Hell, it doesn't matter if you don't actually *like* going to live
shows. Since you aren't there you suck and every opinion you have is
unimportant and laughable.
3) You don't know as much as Manny. About anything. Period. He kicks
it up a notch way past Emeril. He pwns Linus T. He's writes circles
around Steinbeck. He paints better than Picasso. He busts rhymes in
double time. Mr T pities the fool that disagrees with Mr MT. Its not
arrogance if you really *are* that much better.

Also, as an aside - CMU does have a bar type place on campus. Its
called the University Club and is technically a 'club' and as such you
need a membership to drink there. Anyone who is staff or faculty who
pays the $1 membership fee can go there and bring guests.

I've yet to go to a gallery opening that *doesn't* have alcohol.
Usually its a box of cheap ass white wine but it is booze. Of course,
if you care about the alcohol see #1 above.

Also, sure its CMU, sure its a school... so what? Who hasn't brought
booze into a CMU show? Why the fuck else did God create flasks?

As an aside. I actually like Manny a lot. He's funny, articulate,
passionate, motivated, and in general a damn fine human being. There
are some things that frustrate me but I am sure there are ways in
which I piss Manny off too. I don't think either of us take it that
seriously or personally though.
