That's actually pretty common to blow up statistically insignificant
events into overhyped paranoia.  Shark attacks.  Myspace sexual
assaults.  Terrorist attacks.  SARS nee Bird flu.  The media and the
government go nuts for these things that none of us will ever
experience.
