Central Information Distributor

They're very unfriendly about transferring away from their service
(which is possibly illegal), their service is unreliable. Sometimes
their DNS just flakes out. They're fond of slapping on extra fees. And
yes, their interface is very confusing. But the biggest thing is that
they're known to arbitrarily suspend service.

So, if your site gets hacked, or if you post information on your site
intentionally, and somebody doesn't like the content on your site, and
somebody complains to GoDaddy about it, they'll take you down with
extreme prejudice.

Which is funny, because GoDaddy has gotten hacked more than a few times.

Basically, GoDaddy completely sucks. Having worked with a number of
registrars and dozens of domain names, I can tell you that other
companies don't make you jump through hoops, they don't bug you with
constant advertisements to upgrade your account, their Web panels are
actually very simple to use, and they don't shut you off the moment
somebody complains, and they charge less than GoDaddy.
