Quoting j eric townsend <jet at flatline.net>:

CMU? is it a bar? byob?

No, it's a university, so alcohol is officially prohibited on campus and
campus cops could arrest you or escort you off the campus if they see you with
it. That's the same as with shows at Pitt, Chatham, etc.

Eric-
Nothing against you personally so please do not take offense...

But questions like that remind me of the guy who earlier today insulted the
Garfield Artworks for not having a soda machine and not selling beer :)
To that other guy:
It's an ART GALLERY dude.
Please GROK the idea of having shows in art galleries that don't follow the
exact paradigm of how a plush nightclub show operates that you may be used to.
And deal with that idea. Deal with it, hard. Art Space. Not bar. Got it?

Similarly, Eric, be aware that this is Pennsylvania (not Ohio where 18+ is the
rule) with strict liquor laws and that college campuses are all ages, hence *of
course* there is no alcohol and *of course* you cannot byob.

See what I'm saying.
Cool enough. Now rock on!

One's musical plate could theoretically be very full tomorrow.
FRENCH TOAST @ GA 7:30 doors
leave GA at 9:45 pm
see Prefuse at CMU Rangos Hall 10 pm
leave CMU at midnight

nothing to do in Pittsburgh. Ha! A joke! TOO MUCH to do is more like it!

and Nina Hagen! What more do you want?
