Well, yeah, I've been spoiled by spending long periods of time in
London and Toronto.

But you're right, we do well for a city of our size with our
geographical challenges.  I know that we already run a lot of
nearly-empty busses as a public service.  I grew up in Uniontown, so I
know what it's like to live somewhere with no public transport; and
spent a year in Las Vegas, where the bus service is almost useless
despite a sizable population.
