Yo! --as the class jackass used to always yell out from the back of the class.  (Not that I'm much of a jackass, really...)  Nice to be re-acquainted with all of you... I mean "y'uns"!

Sc'Eric here.  I've been living in State College for almost 20 yrs.  Been into the tunes since my second year out of college, circa '96.  Back then, I really liked the original post-punk and early goth-rock stuff.  By late 90s, I had discovered industrial artists like ChemLab, ClockDVA, SPK, Coil, Skinny Puppy... anything on Cold Meat Industry label... even the angst-pop stuff like NIN and Stabbing Westward floated my boat... a lot.

In about 2000, I was introduced to the Pgh scene by mutual friends of Jim Semonik.
The first Ego Likeness show at Laga was one of my most memorable visits to Pgh--there was something very
right about that show.  I also
 probably spent an entire
paycheck at Eide's that night... which would become a quarterly ritual for the next several years.

After that time, I went on to help promote events here in State College with the [DeusProject] events team, with whom I deejayed darkambient sets before our own monthly dance events {ca.thar.sis}--special thx to dj.Hiem, Steven Archer and Gopal Metro for all the encouragement!)  My cohorts and I shared the honour of guest-deejaying at Ceremony on [2007.07.31].  I also hosted a weekly radio show "theAbyss" at Penn State from 2003 through October 2006.

In February 2003, I started the PAdarkAlternative Yahoo! group as a central location for musicians and promoters across Pennsylvania to promote their events.  (It was here that I began to discover how most promoters have no real desire to promote their shows outside of their current circle of attending clientele.)  Consequently, the group has been mostly inactive for
the past 2 yrs, and the calendar needs an overhaul.  But it still remains available as a resource, should folks care
 to use it.  (If
 anyone
would like to co-own the group and help breathe some life back into it... please contact me!)

As of 2009, I am the bar manager and beverage specialist at a Chinese/Japanese restaurant--which takes up most of my time, and doesn't pay me nearly what I'm worth.

Finally... allow me reiterate for the record:   I concur completely with Joel Monyok's observation on the lack of centralized-decentralized information on PA events.  Let's change this!

ps.  Thx for the events info, Manny!  You rock!!! =D

++ Note the length of this post.  Also note that I DO NOT twitter.  You should not twitter, too.  Speak in complete sentences, full paragraphs... in epic, un-abridged tales even!  For godsake, CIRCUMVENT THE CHARACTER LIMIT!!!
And remember to keep it intelligent, yo! ++
